Welcome to St. John's Episcopal Church. We are a small, community church located in Clinton, Michigan, at 122 E. Church Street. Parking can be found behind the church on Franklin Street.
St. John's is one of the oldest wood frame churches east of the Mississippi river; founded in 1835 by William Lyster, it is the oldest Episcopal church building in Michigan. Click here to take a photo tour of our historic church.
We are a dynamic congregation devoted to fellowship, spiritual development, and worship in the Anglican tradition. We are yoked (administratively linked) with St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Tecumseh.
Our worship services are Sundays at 9:15 am. All baptized Christians, regardless of their denomination, are invited to join us for Holy Eucharist. Coffee hour follows immediately after church, offering a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Programs include an active women's group (the Episcopal Church Women or ECW), bell choir, Halloween community outreach, and food and clothing drives for local charities. Fellowship opportunities include monthly euchre nights at Lyster Hall. We also have a strong altar guild and Bishop's Committee.
