Coat drive now through October 1

We will be collecting new or gently used coats for Associated Charities in Adrian, now through October 1.  All sizes are needed.  Please help, because we all know that the economy is going to mean lots of people right here in Lenawee county are going to be cold this winter.

Mosquito net drive through Thanksgiving

For our Christmas outreach project, we are asking that each family donate $12 for malaria-fighting mosquito nets for people in developing countries.  This is truly a matter of life and death.  Your contribution will pay for a net plus education on how to use it.  Contributions can be made payable to St. John's and given to Rosemary.

Congratulations to Stephanie!

Stephanie is a 2008 graduate of Tecumseh High School.  She and her extended family (pictured above) attend St. John's.  Stephanie has been an acolyte for many years and will be missed!  We wish her the best!

We Give Thanks for Our New Priest-in-Charge!

The Rev. Robin Smith agreed to come to the Eastern Lenawee Ministry (the combined ministries of St. Peter’s & St. John’s) to be our Priest-in-Charge. Robin's formally became our Priest-in-Charge at a Welcoming Ceremony presided over by Bishop Gibbs on May 20, 2008.  Robin comes to us with a great deal of pastoral experience.  She is currently serving as Chaplain at Forks Community Hospital in Forks, WA as well as a Supply Priest at St. Germain’s in Hoodsport, WA. Prior to that she was interim priest-in-charge of St. David’s, Highland Mills, and St. Paul’s Chester, NY for a year before moving to Washington state in 2001 to be with her then recently widowed mother. From 1992 to 2000 she was rector of St. Andrew’s Church, Walden, and St. Andrew’s Chapel, Montgomery, NY. She has also served congregations in Georgia and on the Jersey shore, but it was her experience with yoked congregations in New York that generated her interest in St. Peter’s and St. John’s.

Mother Robin received her B.A in Humanities from Rosary College (now Dominican University) in River Forest, IL. She graduated from General Theological Seminary in New York and holds a Master of Divinity cum laude, as well as earning a Master of Sacred Theology in Old Testament Studies. In addition, she did Master’s level work in Christian education and formation at Fordham University, NY, and additional, doctoral level work (not completed) in Old Testament at Emory University.

Robin is the mother of two children, and is joined in the area by her mother, Elaine.
